Product description: This is a fine art lithograph of the original movie poster that was created in 1954 to advertise the theatrical release of the Creature From the Black Lagoon. This lithograph of the original one-sheet was re-created as a fine art lithograph on a rare antique 19th century hand-pulled printing press in affiliation with the American Film Institute’s “100 American Classic Movie Posters”. This is the same printing press that was used to create the vintage posters over 100 years ago. There are only a few of these antique presses in existence, today. Using the exact method used to create the vintage posters of the past, hand drawn plates are made, one for each colour, and then the plates are hand pulled through the vintage press one colour at a time in perfect registration.
