This is a vintage original 27 x 41 in. US one-sheet poster from the classic 1980’s slasher horror film, FRIDAY THE 13TH , released in 1980 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Sean S. A group of camp counselors are stalked and murdered by an unknown assailant while trying to reopen a summer camp which, years before, was the site of a child’s drowning. The image features artwork depicting the counselors of Camp Crystal Lake (which includes actor Kevin Bacon) standing in the moonlight in front of a cabin in a densely-wooded area which is rendered within a huge outline of a person holding a bloody knife. This is a great design, as it effectively conveys the theme of the film within this single image. Unrestored and folded as originally issued, this vintage original one-sheet was never used and is in very fine+ condition without any pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws. Special effects make-up genius Tom Savini did an outstanding job in this film, which essentially created the “slasher” horror film genre that followed.
