This is an ORIGINAL FIRST PRINTING of this poster by Jean-Dominique Van Caulaert. For almost 40 years, Van Caulaert chronicled the stars of French theater. Here’s a spritely portrait of the silent-film and stage actress Renée Divrac, who has credits in “A Light Man” by Maurice Donna (1925) and “One Night at the Louvre” (1928). By turns butch and glamorous, as Van Caulaert intimates, she is known among vintage photo aficionados for two photos: one with a cigarette in the’20s, and in a glamorous dress and sun-hat in Biarritz in 1931. It is in B (slight creasing and stains) condition and measures approximately 47 1/8 x 62 5/8 inches. Poster has been laid on linen for preservation. Note: This is NOT a reproduction.
