This beautiful Original lithograph poster hand printed by David Lance Goines, (#47) announced a series of films with musical themes at the recently opened Pacific Film Archives at the University of California/Berkeley between April and June of 1975. Original edition of 2475 copies. 7 colors, 10″ X 24″ No further printings. It is in EXCELLENT/mint condition, having been stored flat in an artists portfolio case for 49 years. Never framed, handled minimally, no taping, tears, pinholes, or marks. Vivid bright colors, clean back. Framed, matted or not, would be a great addition to any music, film, or graphic art collection. A unique art piece for any wall in your home. Provenance- given to me by David at his St Hieronymus Press studio. We were connected by the legendary Alice Waters’ Chez Panisse restaurant, which I helped open in 1971 and worked there till 1973. David and Alice were close friends and he designed and printed the yearly Chez Panisse anniversary poster beginning in 1972. He was a Frequent and Esteemed guest. A truly wonderful and gracious person until his untimely passing in early 2023. What a Beautiful legacy he’s left us all. Please see all photos as they are an important part of this description.
