Get your hands on this one-of-a-kind poster today! 1923 Ukrainian stage show poster promoting a satirical song and humor comedy act featuring Vladimir Samoilovich Milich and Arkady Mikhailovich Gromov. The Jewish team was formed around 1917 in Odessa and they gained considerable fame in the 1920s and continued the act into the 1940s. Apparently, Milich was the “funny man” and Gromov was the “straight man”, similar to classic American comedy teams such as Abbott and Costello. The poster has creases around the edges and there are some creases and tears at lower right (partially repaired with tape from the back). There are creases along the folds (the poster was hand-folded somewhat oddly at one time) and there are some creases, small tears and pinholes at center (also partially repaired with tape from the back). The very rare Ukrainian poster is otherwise in generally nice condition and while it could be displayed as is, after linenbacking the poster would look great! PRINT RUN : 1.000.
