For sale we have a Vintage Cairo Puppet Theater Poster Big Holiday Night Arab Republic Of Egypt. Very difficult poster to come by and I believe there are only a few in the world. I’m guessing the poster is from the 1970s or 1980s. It measures 18 1/2″ x 26 1/2″. From what I gathered the top left translates to Cairo Puppet Theatre Arab Republic of Egypt. The puppet play title is La Nuit Des Fetes which I believe translates to The Big Night or Holiday Night. The Arabic text below that translated to Big Night. The top right translates similar to the top left. Then down the right side is the play “credits”. It has some wear and the right side edge is a little worse off then the rest of it. There’s a slice/tear towards the bottom right but it doesn’t go to the edge. There’s a couple small marks and few of them feel like they could be cleaned off with a damp towel. Didn’t attempt to clean them off because of the rarity of the poster and I wanted to leave it to a professional. The corners of the poster look great and the subject matter is even better.
