This is an original painting created as concept art for the not yet released cult classic film, Somewhere In Time, starring Cristopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. I was told that this and the other paintings were rejected by Universal Studios and then at the eleventh hour, the artist who painted them came up with the rather simple design that was used. I don’t recall the artist’s name, but remember being told that he had done poster art for other major films. The overall size of the mat is 20″ x 30″ and the area inside the mat opening measures 16″ x 22 1/2″. This one of a kind beautiful painting would make a great addition to any Somewhere In Time or film artifact collection.
