The vintage one-sheet was originally created in 1931 to advertise the release of Frankenstein, starring Boris Karloff. The original artist was the amazing Karoly Grosz. This lithograph was re-created, in 2000, on a rare antique 19th century hand-pulled printing press in affiliation with the American Film Institute’s “100 American Classic Movie Posters”. This is the same printing press that was used to create the vintage posters over 100 years ago. There are only 5 of these antique presses in existence, today. Hand drawn plates are made, one for each colour, and then the plates are hand pulled through the vintage press one colour at a time. This is the exact same method that was used to create the beautiful vintage movie posters of the past. The result is vibrant rich colours and crisp clean lines. This is a true work of art. Frankenstein Teaser Vintage Movie Poster Lithograph Boris Karloff Hand Pulled S2. Mint, unused, never framed nor hung. This is a hand pulled lithograph of the original movie poster – created using the same hand-drawn, hand pulled method as the original. The vintage one-sheet was originally created in 1931 to advertise the release of the Universal classic, Frankenstein, starring Boris Karloff. This lithograph of the original one-sheet was re-created as a fine art lithograph, in 2000, on a rare antique 19th century hand-pulled printing press affiliation with the American Film Institute’s “100 American Classic Movie Posters”. This is the same printing press that was used to create the vintage posters over 100 years ago. There are only 5 of these antique presses in existence, today. Hand drawn plates are made, one for each colour, and then the plates are hand pulled through the vintage press one colour at a time. This is the exact same method that was used to create the beautiful vintage movie posters of the past. The result is vibrant rich colours and crisp clean lines. This is a true work of art. Original artist: Karoly Grosz. Medium: Hand pulled lithograph – hand drawn plates are hand pulled, one colour at a time, in perfect registration on Coventry rag 100% cotton archival paper using the finest quality archival ink on an antique German Dufa hand-pulled printing press.
