Vintage, original (1970) American 28″ x 22″ half-sheet poster for Nicholas Roeg/Donald Cammel transgressive classic “Performance”, starring Mick Jagger as a jaded bisexual rock star and James Fox as a brutal mob enforcer. This very rare poster — the only one in it’s advertising campaign to foreground the film’s homoerotic subtext — is being offered in good, rolled (unfolded) and freshly conservation paper-backed condition. Restoration has addressed pinholes, surface scuffing in the lower-left blank area, and a light vertical crease (not a fold) along the right margin; there is also a slight bit of colour shift/fading to the images. The best, representative poster for this significant film; from my personal collection.
