Vintage Movie Film Advertising Poster Journey to Freedom. In good original condition showing some typical age-appropriate wear, there are some small tears along the center fold and a few along the edges. Please see photos for precise condition. Journey to Mars Vintage Movie Poster Fine Art Lithograph Hand Pulled COA S2 Art. Journey to Mars Vintage Movie Poster Fine Art Lithograph Hand Pulled S2 Art. Mint, unused, never framed nor hung. This is a hand pulled fine art lithograph of the original Russian movie poster titled: A Journey to Mars. It’s created using the same hand drawn, hand pulled method as the original. The vintage one-sheet was originally created in 1926 to advertise the release of the Soviet movie, Journey to Mars, by Nikolai Prusakov and Grigory Borisov. This lithograph of the original one-sheet was re-created as a fine art lithograph on a rare antique 19th century hand-pulled printing press in affiliation with the American Film Institute’s “100 American Classic Movie Posters”. This is the same printing press that was used to create the vintage posters over 100 years ago. There are only 5 of these antique presses in existence, today. Hand drawn plates are made, one for each colour, and then the plates are hand pulled through the vintage press one colour at a time. This is the exact same method that was used to create the beautiful vintage movie posters of the past. The result is vibrant rich colours and crisp clean lines. This is a true work of art. Medium: Hand pulled lithograph – hand drawn plates are hand pulled, one colour at a time, in perfect registration on Coventry cotton archival paper with the finest quality archival ink using a rare, hand-pulled antique German Dufa lithography printing press.
