The Wizard of Oz 3 Sheet Vintage Movie Poster Lithograph Judy Garland S2 Art. Mint, unused, never framed nor hung. This is a fine art lithograph of the original movie poster that is titled. The Wizard of Oz. The vintage iconic 3-sheet was originally created in 1939 to advertise the release of The Wizard of Oz, starring Judy Garland. This lithograph of the original 3-sheet was re-created, in 2000, on a rare antique 19th century hand-pulled printing press in affiliation with the American Film Institute’s “100 American Classic Movie Posters”. This is the same printing press that was used to create the vintage posters over 100 years ago. There are only 5 of these antique presses in existence, today. Hand drawn plates are made, one for each colour, and then the plates are hand pulled through the vintage press one colour at a time. This is the exact same method that was used to create the beautiful vintage movie posters of the past. The result is vibrant rich colours and crisp clean lines. This is a true work of art.
