Original Christian vintage movie poster for Cecil B. “King of Kings” (circa 1954 for film’s re-release). Measures 28 x 41 inches. Probable date 03/1954 promoting a re-release of this epic 1927 silent film. Generally very good (B+) or better. Edge-wear including creasing especially at corners. Some abrasion to paper edges, light chipping. Toned with wear along folds. Possible other light mark/abrasion to image area. The King of Kings is a 1927 American silent epic film produced and directed by Cecil B. It depicts the last weeks of Jesus before his crucifixion and stars H. Warner in the lead role. Featuring the opening and resurrection scenes in two-color Technicolor, the film is the second in DeMille’s biblical trilogy, preceded by The Ten Commandments (1923) and followed by The Sign of the Cross (1932). The King of Kings was the first movie that premiered at the noted Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, California on May 18, 1927. THIS PRICE WILL GO BACK UP ON NOVEMBER 3 0. RARE VINTAGE 1985 Stephen King’s SILVER BULLET Large Mylar Advance Lightbox Theatrical Release Poster. Condition is Used, Very Good/Excellent Size: 39.5″ x 50″ A NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS: Mylar has an extremely high resolution metallic like finish that photographs showing any air pockets underneath it and reflections from light sources. When placed in a frame with a light source behind it, these light reflections do not appear. This large mylar poster is from an advance lobby standee display that included a light source behind this mylar image. I managed the theatre at the time and decided to only keep the mylar poster shown here. I cannot find anything on the internet about the lobby standee nor can I find any mylar poster of any dimensions for this movie. It is extremely rare. It is an authentic original theatrical mylar poster that was part of the film’s advance promotional materials that went to theatres booked to play the movie. There are minor creases in the mylar near the corners. There is an area of about 1.5″ diameter where two lines of approx size of 1/8″ x 3/4 the dark image has been somehow scraped and it looks like a clear scratch. This has been kept in a climate controlled dark storage facility for 31 years. There is nothing faded or discolored. This is a MUST HAVE for fans of this movie or the ultimate Stephen King collector.
