Date: 1952 Artist: Unknown Size (in): 41″ x 27″ Size (cm): 104 x 69 Condition: B+/A- Linen backed: No. This is a vintage original folded one sheet poster for the 1952 20th Century Fox screwball comedy. This movie starred Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant, Ginger Rogers and Charles Coburn among others and was directed by Howard Hawks. This vintage original first release poster is free of tape and pinholes and looks pretty well unused. The poster does have a title hand stamped on verso in red ink which shows through slightly on the front side as well as a date stamp and a number written in wax pencil on the back which don’t show through. Vintage 1959’Some Like It Hot authentic movie poster half sheet (22 inches x 28 inches) originally in good to very good condition. Restoration & linen-backing has preserved this style A half sheet while addressing general wear & tear. Restoration was performed in order to relive the poster, address pinholes in the lower corners, address folds & a crease on the left border. In addition, touchup was performed on the folds & two chips in corners of the half sheet were fixed. While you can still see smudges in the borders, this iconic poster displays magnificently.
