Phantom of the Opera Vintage Movie Poster Lithograph Lon Chaney Hand Pulled S2. Mint, never framed nor hung. This is a fine art lithograph of the original movie poster. The vintage one-sheet was originally created in 1925 to advertise the release of The Phantom of the Opera, starring Lon Chaney. This lithograph of the original one-sheet was re-created as a fine art lithograph, in 2000, on a rare antique 19th century hand-pulled printing press in affiliation with the American Film Institute’s “100 American Classic Movie Posters”. This is the same printing press that was used to create the vintage posters over 100 years ago. There are only 5 of these antique presses in existence, today. Hand drawn plates are made, one for each colour, and then the plates are hand pulled through the vintage press one colour at a time. This is the exact same method that was used to create the beautiful vintage movie posters of the past. The result is vibrant rich colours and crisp clean lines. This is a true work of art. The vintage one-sheet was originally created in 1925 to advertise the release of The Phantom of the Opera, starring Lon Chaney. This lithograph of the original one-sheet was re-created as a fine art lithograph, in 2000, on a rare antique 19th century hand-pulled printing press in affiliation with the American Film Institute’s “100 American Classic Movie Posters”. This is the same printing press that was used to create the vintage posters over 100 years ago. There are only 5 of these antique presses in existence, today. Hand drawn plates are made, one for each colour, and then the plates are hand pulled through the vintage press one colour at a time. This is the exact same method that was used to create the beautiful vintage movie posters of the past. The result is vibrant rich colours and crisp clean lines. This is a true work of art. License: Bears the licensee’s embossed emblem and signature of the chromist (unobtrusively) printed on this lithograph to differentiate it from the original.
