Vintage 1972 re-release French 1p Grande movie poster for. The critically acclaimed classic Paramount Pictures film noir starring Rita Hayworth and Glenn Ford. The film is known for its noirish plot elements, cinematographer Rudolph Mate’s. Lush photography, costume designer Jean Louis’s. Wardrobe for Hayworth (particularly for the dance numbers), and choreographer Jack Cole. S staging of “Put the Blame on Mame”. The movie poster images of Rita Hayworth as “Gilda” are some of the most iconic images in the history of film posters and are highly sought after by collectors. It really is a spectacular and very Old Hollywood glamorous design. This unrestored and well maintained French 1 panel (1p) Grande movie poster (46 1/4 inches x 61 1/4 inches) was created for a 1972 cinema re-release of the classic film noir “Gilda”. The French movie poster which was created to display in movie theaters has very light fold wear and minor separation where folds intersect. In 2013, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress. As being “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant”. This is a vintage Original. French R-1972 Movie Poster – starring RITA HAYWORTH and GLENN FORD – It is not a reprint or reproduction. The poster measures 47″ x 63″. This poster is in great condition! Colors are as bright and crisp as the day it was printed. Some crinkling along top edge and in some folds, which should flatten out nicely when framed. No tears, tape or pin holes. Gilda Vintage Movie Poster Lithograph Rita Hayworth Hand Pulled S2 Art Ltd Ed. Condition: Mint, unused, never framed nor hung. This is a hand pulled fine art lithograph of the original. The vintage one-sheet was originally created in 1946 to advertise the release of Gilda, starring Rita Hayworth. This lithograph of the original one-sheet was re-created as a fine art lithograph, in 2000, on a rare antique 19th century hand-pulled printing press in affiliation with the American Film Institute’s “100 American Classic Movie Posters”. This is the same printing press that was used to create the vintage posters over 100 years ago. There are only 5 of these antique presses in existence, today. Hand drawn plates are made, one for each colour, and then the plates are hand pulled through the vintage press one colour at a time. This is the exact same method that was used to create the beautiful vintage movie posters of the past. The result is vibrant rich colours and crisp clean lines. This is a true work of art. Original artist: Robert Coburn. Re-created on a hand pulled antique 19th century German Dufa printing press on Coventry 100% cotton rag archival paper using archival ink. Numbered: sequentially hand numbered (lower right border) by the curator. Perhaps some of the best art of this film! Gilda is a 1946 American film noir directed by Charles Vidor and starring Rita Hayworth in her signature role and Glenn Ford. The film is known for cinematographer Rudolph Maté’s lush photography, costume designer Jean Louis’s wardrobe for Hayworth (particularly for the dance numbers), and choreographer Jack Cole’s staging of “Put the Blame on Mame” and “Amado Mio”, sung by Anita Ellis. Over the years Gilda has gained cult classic status. In 2013, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant”.
