This is a rare. Vintage movie broadside poster. 1951 film’Fury of the Congo. This paper poster stars. Famous for his roles as Tarzan and the popular “Jungle Jim” character he played in this series. The poster features a striking tagline: Amazon Beauties Lead Johnny Into HIs Strangest Battles. Printed on thin paper, these 13 inch tall posters were originally created to be stapled on telephone poles and bulletin boards to advertise coming attractions. Because most were exposed to the elements, very few have survived, making this a unique and rare find for any collector. Due to their age and original purpose, these posters are. And may have imperfections such as. Along with possible staple marks. These small marks often add to their authentic, vintage appeal and can be easily trimmed for framing. Original Vintage Soviet movie poster for the film: ” THE DEATH OF TARZAN ” (Original title: Tarzanova smrt) – A dark comedy about a half-wild creature from the African jungle, which has been identified as a heir of the noble family, set in Germany in the 1930s, shows that in certain circumstances, people behave worse than animals in the jungle. The film exposes the ruthless world of capitalism, the insurmountable contradictions of which have led the peoples to a fratricidal war. The film is set in Germany in the thirties, when the Nazis came to power. The hero of the film Wolfgang von Hoppe, “Tarzan”, who grew up in the jungle among the animals, where only the strongest is right, finds himself in the civilized world. At first it seemed to Wolfgang that Truth and justice reigned in the human world. But soon he becomes convinced that this civilized world is no different from the world of animals, and “Tarzan” dies.. He was born in 1915 in Moscow into a family of musicians. His father, Karaim Iosif Savelyevich Shamash, a violinist, played at the Evpatoria Theater. Mother – Maria Shamash, pianist. As a child he showed interest in drawing. Later, for three years, he took painting and drawing lessons from the famous artist RR Falk. After the beginning of the Great Patriotic War he was mobilized.
