Announces this forcefully dramatic promotion for this sword-&-sandals epic. Over the course of 23 years, no fewer than four films were produced based on the 1896 novel. This image was most likely created for the 1924 adaptation, a silent historical drama set during the reign of Nero, directed by Gabriellino D’Annunzio.
