Up for sale here is a vintage circa 1952 to 1953 , very large , vintage, unmounted stone lithograph poster for the famous movie “From Here to Eternity”. It appears to have been made from the movie’s release in France. The colors are very rich and as you can see in the pictures soak through the paper onto the back much like a woodblock would do. The poster is printed on a very large single sheet of fine, sort of thin paper. The piece measures approximately 63 inches high by about 47 inches across. The poster has been later hand signed, in ink, by Daniel Taradash , one of the people that helped put the movie together. As for condition , the poster has never been framed it has been stored folded in a box for many , many years. As a result of being folded for such a long time there are deep fold creases throughout the poster. There are also some small tears in the corners of the fold lines and areas where the fold lines are a bit thin. The edges for the most part are not frayed or torn. The poster has very fresh , unfaded colors. We have not seen too many of these original, vintage European pieces around so you movie buffs might want to add this to your collection.
