Offered here is an original, studio-issued 1923 Paramount Pictures promotional poster measuring the classic one-sheet size of 27 x 41 inches and professionally mounted on linen for preservation. This striking design commemorates the 6th Annual Paramount Week, held in September 1923, a significant moment in early Hollywood history. Paramount Pictures was founded in 1912 and formally organized under Adolph Zukor’s Famous Players-Lasky structure. By 1923, the studio was only in its sixth year operating under the Paramount banner as a national distribution powerhouse. “Paramount Week” was not simply a marketing gimmick. It was a coordinated national exhibition campaign designed to. Promote Paramount’s slate of prestige pictures. Strengthen relationships with theater owners. Reinforce brand identity at a time when studio branding was still evolving. Solidify Paramount as a dominant force in the vertically integrated studio system. By 1923, Paramount had already secured major stars and was establishing what would become the classic Hollywood studio era. This poster represents that early studio confidence and expansion during the silent film golden age. Very few studio promotional posters from this formative period survive, particularly in full one-sheet format. The bold red “6” dominating the composition reflects early 1920s graphic modernism. The stylized typography and calendar motif anchor the piece firmly in the transitional period between late silent-era commercial illustration and emerging Art Deco sensibilities. The strong color palette, deep navy, bright red, yellow script, and cool green accents, remains vibrant and eye-catching. This was designed to be seen in theater lobbies nationwide. Lower right margin reads. The Morgan Litho Co. The Morgan Lithograph Company of Cleveland, Ohio, was one of the leading American commercial lithography firms of the early 20th century. They printed theatrical posters, advertising materials, and large-format promotional graphics for major studios and corporations. The numeric code “35921” is the printer’s internal job or plate number, used for production tracking. Its presence supports authenticity and original issue. Lower left margin reads Country of Origin U. , further confirming domestic studio printing. Linen backed. Strong color saturation. Clean margins. Minor fold evidence consistent with original distribution. Professionally preserved. Linen backing stabilizes original fold lines and increases long-term preservation while maintaining authenticity. Why This Poster Matters. This is not a film title one-sheet. Studio promotional campaign posters from the early 1920s appear far less frequently on the market than standard film posters. They document the business history of Hollywood, not just the films themselves. Early Hollywood history. Paramount Pictures. Silent film era memorabilia. Studio marketing ephemera. Art Deco commercial design. 1920s Americana. This is a museum-level conversation piece.

The Morgan Litho Co. 35920 Country of Origin U. This one is 35920. That is not coincidence. These were printed together as part of the same production run. That places this firmly in. September 1923 – 6th Annual Paramount Week. That’s excellent confirmation. Paramount Week was a national exhibitor promotion designed to. Boost attendance across the country. Reinforce Paramount brand loyalty. Coordinate theater decoration and themed events. Promote the studio star system. This was early studio identity consolidation under the Famous Players-Lasky structure. In 1923, Paramount Studios, although less than a decade into existence, was just beginning to dominate national distribution. This was branding before Madison Avenue branding. The studio was teaching America to think of Paramount as an event. This poster is the invitation. This is bold, theatrical, and psychologically effective. Evokes circus spectacle. Invites entry. Signals entertainment. Creates movement and personality. Bright yellow field with navy framing creates high contrast and visibility from a distance. The red shoes and scrollwork add theatrical charm. “Come In – It’s Paramount Week”. Direct call to action. This was lobby marketing designed to physically pull people through the doors. Morgan Litho Co. Cleveland. Printer job number 35920. Country of Origin U.. Period typography. Linen backed with visible original fold lines. Everything is consistent with original 1923 theatrical distribution. This is not a film title one-sheet.
